I cannot understand why a book where a man (who was just trying to do what was expected of him) is constantly belittled, insulted, ASSAULTED, and demeaned can be so well loved. Even about which Tarleton he should be pursuing. Bonny is unreasonable, overdramatic, annoying, and…beautiful? And being with him makes Valentine question everything he thought he knew.
